“If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?” Psalm 11:3

Infanticide, euthanasia, gender dysphoria, sexual chaos, pagan woke-isms, globalism, cancel culture, Jewish hatred… there is a shaking of our earthly foundations. It’s caused by Satan and the sins of mankind. A shaking that followers of Jehovah and Christ have time and again faced from Eden to the present. Each time, as Scripture reveals, its tremors increase.

For whatever reason (no shortage of excuses), believers seem to be more silent. Often those who do speak up, do so in an angry, negative spirit of doom and gloom. I prefer the thought, “What can the righteous do?” In fact, it’s important to make it even more personal… By His grace, what would God have me do?

Use your VOICE…

(1.) Pray… in repentance and faith. The God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and specifically the Second Person of Trinity, Jesus, is the Name we place our faith, hope, and confidence in. Prayer is not the last line of defense. It is the frontline of victory.

(2.) Preach-Teach-Equip… Hosea 4:6a says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” It is imperative that ministry leaders preach, teach, equip young and old to have Biblical discernment and be able to articulate the Truths of Scripture. Informed, soul-winning, righteous-living disciples of Christ were given a mandate in Matthew 28:19, 20… a mandate that still stands and can settle mankind’s shaking.

(3.) Speak Up… in the public square. The evidence of the quote, “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do (or say) nothing.” is all around us. It is suffocating righteousness. Scripture reveals the righteous impact of ONE voice… Noah, Esther, Gideon, David, Nehemiah, John the Baptist, Peter, Paul, and most of all JESUS! Your voice matters!

By the way, there’s another shaking coming. A final one. One not caused by man, but one every man should be mindful of and prepared for. One every follower should seek to hasten. “But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will be falling from heaven, and the powers that are in the heavens will be shaken.” (Mark 13:24-25)
